Forgotten Music from the Isles of the West
With this volume, John Clark turns to the traditional music of the Hebridean Islands. In doing so, he proceeds in a similar way as in his previously presented booklets "Irish Traditional Slow Airs": each of the approx. 40 melodies is given both in unison and in a simple harmonised form and, where available, underlaid with the original Gaelic texts. Pronunciation rules and instructive editorial notes complete this little treasure chest of little-known tunes. - Suitable for lyre, from solo to ensemble, as well as for other melody and accompanying instruments.
